Thumprint Drawing :: It's Finished!

Well, it took quite a while (probably at least 12 hours) but I finally finished! And, without procrastinating or pulling an all-nighter! The bikes took most of the time. I had to draw each of them multiple times in order to get the perspective just right, but I couldn't be happier with how they all turned out. I'm thinking I may do a drawing like this for Chad and my wedding! I can't wait to see what it looks like with all the thumbprints on it.

It's so rewarding to see projects when they are done, but it can be pretty painful in the middle while working. I know on Saturday I would have preferred sitting around and watching movies, and even said to Chad, "why do I get myself into these projects?" But, I guess that is the same lazy voice inside your head that says, "you can stay in bed instead of working out" or "you can have that extra cookie." I'm glad I plugged away and didn't drag it out.

Taa-daa! It is finished - yay!

I'm so glad that I decided to do the bikes separate. It really tells more of a story in the picture this way.

I did a bit more shading on the tree than I had planned, but once I started there was no going back.
It's gotta be consistent in the whole tree or it looks weird.

The type is a bit more 'perfect' than I was going for.
I guess making it look more rustic is something I'll have to work on.

My favorite part are the bikes - I worked so hard on these and I'm thrilled with how they turned out!

What do you think!?
